Hello everyone: I registered here & on Benzworld years ago but ended up posting on BW for my other cars. Just got a 2004 E320 wagon Friday, so will try MBWorld for it.

I Was looking at E500 wagons....some with non correct odo(by over 100K), totaled made into rebuilt, undisclosed flood damage etc. Only one with a truly clean title, had records of just a few recent oil changes & the interior was trashed by small children with spilled food, milk & candy everywhere that somehow didn't show in the ad pics. Also had torn & hanging down sunroof upholstery.

Then I found this one at a good price: 1st owner, 9 yrs dealer serviced in FL for 115K miles. Passed to daughter who brought car to Portland, Oregon, then drove it 16K miles in 4 years. She also had dealer or indy regular service. Nearly all the usual and some not so usual repairs were done including SBC pump @ 98K miles & rear air shocks at 89K. Original owners were elderly & rear bumper is all scratched up like they had been backing into a hedge when parking or something, but should touch up OK, otherwise fine. Plan on keeping this one a long time & won't be too sad to pass on my W124 & W123.

I went thru the receipts and will post the details in the High Mileage W211 thread. Don

Good looking wagon.
For rear bumper you can buy rattle can of original color from the dealer.
I did it on silver metallic and it was not perfect match, but once I painted whole bumper, it become noticeable.
Happy motoring.
115k is not high mileage

115k isn't that high. I bought mine at 106k and in two years it's at 138k. Not to mention it came from an auction, from the condition it was in, i believe woman owned it, probably elderly because i found a few hair pin when we brought it home and cleaned it lol

Very few scratches on it, except in some areas, which will be long gone if i get it buffed just once. But it gives enough shine when i wash and rub some polish on it, so i rather not spend 150 on buffing, eh.

Thanks kajtek & Roop, I already ordered a small bottle of touch-up in the car's color #, I have some vintage road bicycles, so have experience touching up scratches & chips. Also I ordered a cover for the towing eye hole.

Car actually has 129,000 miles, of which 115,000 were in Florida rest here in OR. The daughter put car in her name at 113,000 & later drove it out here to Oregon. Car is so much better than anything I looked at previously that the price seemed low to me. Don

Very nice car, looks to be in great condition and you can't beat that ownership/service history. Should be a good car for many years, sounds like all of the common issues have already been addressed on it.

I don't like that color very much on the sedan, but I think it really suits the wagon. That tan interior is in remarkable shape for the year, too.

If you take good care of these cars, you'll have it running for quite awhile. I drive a lot, this is my commuter as well. Around 50-150 miles a day, depends how far my work sends me, mobile job. But since they are mostly highway miles, I'm planning to keep it for 2-4 more years at least to myself. I've had no issues with it what so ever. Let's hope it stays like that, except need to replace the brakes on mine, all around.

Funny story from paperwork on my E320:

Owners brought car in complaining they found right rear down after car sat for a week. Notes: Tech found nothing wrong with right rear shock, but found some cracking on left rear, replaced, then on test drive, shock on right rear blew and car went down hard!(his words) When car was back, removed/replaced right rear shock and found the old one had internal leak. This was at 89,000 miles.
