Yup......I gave the vendor the authority to use my pic as he gave me the grill. Good trade off. He also gave me a W220 grill for me to test also. Haven't had a chance to put it on yet.

Did you need to have anything painted to have the grille installed in the W211?

Nope...mine came with the glossy black finish with the chrome ends. Exactly in my sig. I'm sure you can probably paint the fins to match your body color.

So, with the standard Black body color, nothing needs to be done other than a straight replacement? Easy to do?

Thanks in advance.

If it's the same as the pre production that I have...that is correct. Just unscrew the current grille and install the new one. You might have to glue the star (I had to with my pre production grille) just like the Schatz grill but its easy. No welding or modification needed. Only takes a few minutes to swap grills back and forth if you would like. My preproduction grill lined up very well...even the grill holes lined up with holes in the hood. There was a small issue with the side screws that were provided were too long. I have advised the vendor and he said the supplier has resolved the issue. That was the only thing wrong with my pre production grille.
