Acquired '05 E320 CDI
The belly plastic is there for road debris, sound, and fuel efficiency. IIRC the Torque Pro app can measure transmission fluid temperature too, but that'd be a bit harder to compare the pros/cons of removing the belly for its cooling effect.
If it works for you, carry on!

So if you can read what MAF is saying, that would be nice comparison.
My friend, who race on black top -driving older Chevy got even gasoline radiator that mounts on top of the engine. Not sure how much difference that can make, but somebody figure it out worth the time to install.

I've always loved the look of these wheels...
That's it, this car is going to stay stock from here on out...
What do you all think of these wheels on this CDI?
Xenon are definitely a Go with the W211. Maybe retrofit them ?
I "might" eventually get a kit for the current projectors (would obviously be low beam only, I understand that). Something of quality like Morimoto or similar...
For now I'm just happy the car is in good shape, gets good fuel mileage, and the wife likes it... (she hates my Volvo, LOL)...
We did 716 kms which consisted of a trip to the cottage and back with rush hour at one end of that trip, 5 or 6 local city shopping trips with traffic, and a handful of short, fast local sprints around just because I am still amazed at the torque of this thing, LOL

The car still showed about 1/4 of a tank left at the time of fill up, and the diesel in the car's tank was from December/January, somewhere around there, and the car was sitting and not being driven prior getting it.
Calculated average for the last 716 kms of mixed driving is 7.9 L/100 (or 29.5 mpg for you US folks)... The tank took 57L to fill (until the nozzle kicked off).
Does having new/fresh diesel in use contribute to better numbers? We plan to drive it every weekend now to the cottage. FWIW I'm using Petro Canada ULSD.
Love the car!
