My W211 E320 no engine crank by turning key with randomly ESP malfunction error
Lately, I'm experiencing a weird situation when I try to start the engine by turning key from ON to START with two syndromes below,
1. There is a short sound of starting motor rolling, but the engine is not crank.
2. There is no sound of starting motor, of course, the engine is not crank.
Either way, I have to pull out the key, insert the key and turn the key times to start the engine, though nothing happens, then an ESP malfunction shows on display, then the engine can be started. As long as the engine is started, the ESP malfunction is disappeared. In the first place, I was suspecting it might be caused by low power of my key to cause the real-time encryption incorrect in between key and ESL. However, I change another key today, it came up twice today. Once the engine is started, it runs smoothly.
In the meantime, I plug-in the OBD2 into my E320, the screen captured as attached below. No trouble code is found but two P0221, P0600 found previously for acceleration hesitation, I fixed it by replacing a crankshaft position sensor.
Anyone could be kindly advise the possible root cause? Appreciated.
