Easy Entry Feature?????

Trust me to find another 'mini' problem

If your partner is a 5ft 4inch (163cm) midget, and you are a 6ft 7inch (201cm) normal sized person the 'Easy Entry' option is as much use as a wet matchstick.

If the smaller person uses their key to lock the car, then the seat will remain in its 'Easy Exit' Position. Unfortunately the main height difference of the normal sized person (6ft 7inch) (207cm) is in the legs. So it is impossible to get into the drivers seat and close the door. This has to be done before the ignition key is inserted.

Why could Mercedes-Benz not have designed this system to work by simply inserting the key before closing the door??? Okay it is no big deal to move the seat back before getting into the car, but 'Easy Entry' should be just that EASY

Unless You know different?????

Bye for now,
John

John,

It's good to find some other "normal" sized persons around. I am not quite that tall but wear 36" inseam pants and like to sit quite high in the car. My wife has programmed the seats as #1 for her preferences while I have been relagated to #2. I open the door and press the #2 button and wait until the seat is far enough back for me to get in.

Another M-B idiosyncrasy - und you VILL like it!

Hi Jim,
It's nice to hear from a fellow number 'two'

I used to think I was down trodden until my wife gave me authority to say that I'm the head of the household. :p

John,

My wife gave me a brass plaque that says "I am the captain of this ship, and I have my wife's permission to say so".
