How to remove chrome trunk trim?
I recently put some black badges on my car and want to wrap the chrome trim that's between them and the plate. I pulled the trunk liner but couldn't feel anything up in there holding that piece on. Do I need to remove that whole plastic lower section of the trunk lid to get that piece off? Figured I'd ask before just going for it.

Once you remove the trunk liner you will see one torx bolt on each side. Unscrew those, then you will see a center bolt in the middle of the license plate/bracket. On the under side of the trunk remove the nut.
You will now be able to completely remove the plastic trunk piece. It sort of snaps out and down. You will see how it comes off. You then can remove the from strip from the plastic.
Hope that helps. If you search for LED license plate modules I posted up a thread from another forum directions on how to remove the piece.
