2014 E350 4Matic/2011 E350 4matic / 2003 E500 /2000 CLK 430
im 39, single and got my E500 because i didnt care for the CLK 500 when my lease was up on my CLK 430.
I love the car and IMO it out performs the CLK in every aspect.
lacks the sportier appearance but its an awesome sled.
I lease so mods are not an option. plus if i wanted a real performance sedan i would have went for an E55 or M5 -

'03 E500
I’m 45, and this is my first MB. I replaced a ’00 M5 with the E500. There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t miss the M5, but it needed to go – my common sense would take a holiday every time I got behind the wheel.
I’ve’ tweaked the E500 to get back a taste of the M5 characteristics; lowered, and changed the wheels and tires to give it a better track/handling. I’ve experienced and worked through all the gremlins of a first year body series. However; when I came home from a two week vacation to find an extremely LARGE pool of trany fluid on the garage floor, I thought to myself, I should have bought a Chrysler Stratus and spent the other 30k on booze and hookers. Truth be told, I expected a little bit more from MB in terms of quality and overall workmanship.
When and if BMW ever designs a car that’s worth owning, I’ll probably dump the E500 for another Bimmer.

05 E320 CDI
I'm 39 and expecting a 320 CDI (ordered in Jan) any day now (right now it's in a rail car somewhere between FL and TX). This will be my first MB, though I learned to drive on my dad's 280SE, and it will be replacing my 14 year old Honda Accord (bought new.) I'm hoping to get comparible durabilty from the MB as I got from the Honda. We'll see. Not planning any mods.

I got mine as a 40th birthday present to myself.
Had MB's for years, but was still delighted with the difference between this E and the w210.
Glad to see so many young drivers - in the UK that would be rare - perhaps more to do with the relative cost of cars and insurance here. Young drivers find it very very difficult to get affordable insurance.
A new E270cdi is around $74,000 in the UK.
There is a E55 used in the dealership thats $109,500

45. my first benz. one of my goals was to buy a $50k car before turning 50. but now the accessories are becoming commonplace and/or antiquated. daily commuter '04 accord exl coupe has xm, radio preset controls from steering wheel. overall, very satisfied with the benz.

I'm 58 (next week, anyway). I used to be married to a race car driver. Performance mods??? Been there, done that!!! Performance mods are overrated, in my opinion, but I understand the hobby value of cars to some people. I'm more into getting a drop-dead gorgeous car that performs well and is relatively easy on the environment. I'm extremely happy with my choice!

40. 1st Benz. Bought it as a 40th b-day present to myself. Lowered tastefully 1 inch with 19 x 8.5's and Mich PS2's all around (4 matic). Snow tires on the oem sport wheels. That's it for now. Eventually an upgraded subwoofer to assist wimpy HK system will be the final mod. Still dreaming of an AMG version 4- Matic.......

Well I prefer to not be the same as everyone else. I have the thought that I want to avoid having the exact same car as another person. I think that most TRUE car fans will agree. As for the environment, well I have my own beleifs on that. Like we stop forest fires from happening, and guess what?>...........oh my god, forest fires are the number 1 polluter on the planet. Hence, I have a straight pipe on my other car. I will admit that cars produce carbon monoxide, however, 1 tree if burned is equivalent to 2 hummers burning gas at 20,000 miles per year for 2 years. or 1 Hummer driving 80,000 miles. So until we let the environment do what it is trying to do, by burning itself down every now and then, I will have performance mods.

The True OG Modded out W203
I just turned 24. After modding the heck out of all my cars(10K plus on each my Mitsu/Celica/Audi a4 cabriolet) and dropping 35K+ on my C Class I really cannot see myself modding the E Class. I mean I would love to just slap on the Lorinser kit with fenders and a set of HRE, dropping in a few subs and tvs, get a rumbling exhaust with maybe a Kleeman BUT I just cant picture myself dropping that kind of dough anymore. Maybe I am getting old
but I just love the way my E320 drives. Its my daily driver, my C Class sits in the garage most of the time now. As was stated before-If I am THINKING about modding I will just save the money and upgrade to an E55 or what not....
