2008 E550 no start
I have looked through many posts to see if someone has had my problem. I can't find an answer. The car was working perfectly. I stopped at a deli to pick up a sandwich. Came back to the car and opened with the remote.(previous post, drivers door keyless doesn't work) I got in as usual. Stepped on the brake and pushed the button. Nothing! OK so lets try the key in the ignition switch, I thought I heard a single click but still nothing. The battery is a genuine MB battery less then 2 years old so I didn't really suspect that but I didn't know what else to try while I was sitting in a parking lot. I called for a jump. The jump also did nothing to solve my problem. Not even a click. Now it's getting dark so I have to have it towed home. Everything else works, headlights, radio, leveling and I can hear the fuel pump charging. There is no dimming of lights when the key is turned. I checked all the fuses under the hood and they are all good. Still nothing. There are no codes on the car or a scanner. I spoke to MB this AM and they pushed me away from the brake switch and starter relay so now I have no clue. This is the 4th of July weekend so I have places to go but no way to get there. Any ideas?

Do you have another key? Try that one. You could also try changing the batteries in the Fob, but I doubt that will help you as putting the key in the ignition doesn't involve the battery. Otherwise search for EIS problems if it's not the key.

I disconnected the neg terminal last night in hopes that the problem would go away the same way it showed up. Guess what? Still nothing. I would have thought that I would have lost my radio stations but I didn't. Today, I'll remove the battery and recharge it. will this allow everything to reset? This is the worst weekend for this to happen, everyone is on vacation until the 5th. Fingers crossed

I had the same experience with my W210 amg. It was the starter relay circuit board. When I pulled the board out you could see the burned parts. Part was $150 from mb. Easy to change.
So, if the w211 has a similar board, I would check that.

if your lights and accesories cut on but engine doesn't turn, you need to check voltage at the starter. if starter is getting voltage, starter is bad.
