Does anyone have one of those android replica head unit replacements(seen all over ebay)? To me they seem like they arent as "high quality" as the oem. Also, does navigation work as well like oem?

Read that entire thread before.. Also make sure, I think there's cars with fiber cables and some that do not.. and yours is a 2008, just make sure your oem setup is compatible..
There's tons of videos in youtube abaout this installs and the outcome, search fo 'w211 android head unit'
Well, if you get an android head unit it'll be like a phone, same google maps that you have on your android phone.. but running your music and steering wheel controls etc.
