Diesel smoking on idle
I have a 2006 Cdi 320 the milage is getting a bit high currently 180,000 miles.
Recently the car started smoking when left idling for a few minutes. The smoke is white and in not oil as it smells of Diesel and the car is not using oil.
I have recently replaced the turbo, due to the common problem of the vanes were sticking. This is now rectified but the car still smokes if left idling.
Also the smell of diesel is stronger than how it used to be.
I have also been told that the injector types are sealed and cannot be serviced. They are also known to be problem free.
The car is now 11 years old but in immaculate condition.
Does anyone have any ideas re the smoking. It is as if the diesel mixture is too rich.
Please any advise and leads will be appreciated.
