2006 SLK55 AMG, 2005 E500, 2009 G55 AMG Kompressor
p0400 now p0171-174
My 2005 E500 started giving p0400 CEL. I replaced the EGR Valve and that fixed the p0400. Now getting p0171-174 intermittently. Only after diving long distance and the only at idle. Guessing that I caused a vacuum leak. When I ordered the valve I also ordered a egr valve gasket. When I removed the old valve I did not see/find a old gasket. I did put the new gasket in. My question is, should there be a gasket on this car? Could uneven tightening when mounting the valve be a cause?

Smoke Maker 1000
Fixed! Found a vacuum line loose. Bought a Smoke Maker 1000 from Ebay. It worked great! Best 80 bucks I ever spent!
