nav retrofitted by Steve

It took him about one hour to get the navigation retrofiited in my car. now, i finally have nav on my daily beater. Steve was so quick. Anyone interested in getting nav retrofitted should contact him.
now, i wish i had approval from wife to do the euro command retrofit. But wife shot the idea of replacing two command. The dvd play back is awesome. The quality of screen and sound is excellent. I hope steve can find some way to add tv-tuner without replacing the command. Able to catch a ball game on the screen would be nice.

damn, i should make myself clear.
I was in the 2003 E55 that steve had earlier installed a euro command, nav, and tv tuner on.
the screen quality were by far the best i have seen on factory screens.
None of my W211 US command can allow DVD playback. Steve played around with my E500 command and came to conclusion that dvd play back is not possible on the US command.
Hence in order to allow dvd play back. I will have to upgrade to euro command. But wife is not too hot about idea to replace both command on my W211 (e500 and e55). Said no to both but she did okay nav retrofit on the E500.
I am hoping that steve would find way to add tv tuner to us command. DVD play back is not really important to me, but TV is.

Now if the US dealerships would have only been half as fast with their parts deliveries as their dutch counterparties are...I could have finished it all...sorry for that.

I will contact you in may see what you have found out on tv tuner. May be by that time, I would have enough cash hidden away that I can finally do command retrofit.

You have about 5 bloody expensive 2004 cars and an M5 on order, yet you cant afford to change one little thing on your car. 
By the way, with all those cars, why do you have an e500 and an e55? Do you replace all your cars every year? That would cost a **** load.

The problem is that I really tend not to keep car that long. And may be in couple weeks i may dump one of the E for something else. At end of last year I had no plan to buy another other than the E55. But things happened and i ended up with 4 mercedes instead of one.
Plus, my wife stated clearly that watching DVD while driving is not a good idea. She can't trust me that I wouldn't watch DVD while driving. Since she controls my wallet, i can't say a thing. That's why I am trying to hide some money away from here. hopefully I will have enough cash by the time steve comes around in june.
I replace my car as i see fit or gets bored with it. Usually my car rarely last over a year except the van and suv.
E500 came as result of a great deal i got. So it has become my daily beater for now.
