2007 E550 engine just dies
Just started doing this today. Was stuck in traffic and engine shuts off. Died three times while driving. Got home, let the car idle, died every time within a few second. Anyone have these issues??
No check engine light. Car idles perfect right before it dies. Will start up right away after it dies. Never did this before. Trouble free car since I've had it. Will trouble shoot once I get back from vacation.
Sorry for the background noise. It's the cars fan.

Fuel pump relay and fuse are located in the rear SAM in your car. See here to test:

Another potential cause is the crank position sensor located driver's side upper transmission bell housing. Multiple posts on how to replace; be sure to raise the hood vertically using the release pins on the hood hinges. Look for the DIY on this; you'll need a long extension and there is not much room in there. Research on how to perform crankshaft adaptation to the new sensor. I've posted on this in the past week.
If you can put it on a DAS (expensive but powerful) or an iCarsoft i980 scanner (cheaper but does what most people need) that will help you to narrow down the cause.
