Unhappy 2007 E 350 tail light issue

About 2 months ago we had a big storm wit a lot of rain. Soon I noticed that my tail lights don't turn off. At the moment I have to disconnect the wires from the tail lights in order not to drain the battery. also it affects the license plate lights, I just took them out.

Please help me figure out what could be wrong. Ive tried all the forums on the internet, and tried to find any information... but no luck. I checked the trunk area, and it is dry, no water anywhere at the moment.

Please guide me to the right direction...

My guess would be the brake light switch.

No it's not that. I've replaced it already...

Consider checking rear SAM for moisture/corrosion and work back, see attached captures for wiring diagram. N10/2 = rear SAM, e3 left tail lamp (SAM 14.4, 14.1), e4 right and e19/1 left license plate lamp, e19/2 right (21.14, 21.20).
