Active bi-xenon
I have active Bi-zenon according to MB parts, but not sure if the shutter is working or not, or if they "corner".
When turning on the lights at night while standing still and moving the steering left/right are the headlights suppose to move or or does the car need to be in motion?
I would say my shutters are not working, but I am going mask the halogens to verify.

Yeah, you can't really tell if they're working if you're sitting still. Try going to a parking lot and drive down the road while swinging the steering wheel left and right. If you have error codes like ESP, then the bixenons won't work.

I was under the impression that they only self adjust up & down, not active cornering.
Ours do an up & down cycle when first turned on.

Depends on the year. Not sure when active cornering illumination kicked in, but it might have had it in 2006, it was definitely there in 2007-2009. The early years just had bixenons. The reason you have the halogens is because the shutters take a while to move so there's no instant high beams, but if you flip the stalk, they should come on eventually. Mine is a 2008 so it does both and up down cycle and also a little left/right cycle. I guess if it does left/right, then you have active cornering.
