Hot engine rattle

Hello. I am now a proud owner of a Very Clean maintained 2007 E55 RWD 95k on clock. After oil change to amsoil 5-40 manns filter its quiet when cold start up until it gets to temperature then sounds like a quiet diesel. Above 750 rpm quiet again and whisper quiet at any speed. Is this normal? Wasn't as loud before but still rattled and didn't pay much attention. Reading other threads going to put in can of sea foam and pay for Mercedes filter with fresh oil and can of liquimoly mos2. Learning that this is a high volume low pressure oil pump should I go with heavier or lighter viscosity oil. 10-30 maybe better flow or 15-50 bigger cushion with careful warm up of course. Also is there a spot to plug in a mechanical oil pressure gauge. Thanks for your brain power in advance. K

You would do best to place your post in the W211 AMG section. There have been discussions on this in that section recently. You'll tend to find technically inclined folks over there.

Hot idle rattle

Update. Didn't use sea foam due to conflicting opinions. Added liqui molly to existing oil. Seems to be quieter but also noticed even before adding liqui molly when it got real hot it was quieter also. Trying to pick up on a pattern. Would like to hook up mechanical oil pressure gauge but can't find location. Opinions are greatly appreciated. Thanks K

FWIW, the guy said it's an E550 in the AMG section and not an E55. Someone questioned it since a 2007 E55 does not exist.

Hot engine rattle

Hello. Trying to figure this out and yes it’s 2007 E550. Cold engine quiet. Warm engine sounds like a diesel. Hot engine in between. If I start it cold an let idle, goes from quiet 3-5 minuets to 450-500rpm diesel. I bring it up to 600 rpm quiet. I used 5-40 amsoil Mann’s filter as per spec. Then Put in liquimolly additive no difference, then Lucas oil treatment no difference. Want to try different oil but unsure witch way to go. Is Mercedes ( Mobil 1) any better. Is Mercedes filter (Mann’s) any different. Can I bump up idle. I can’t seem to find any threads with same problem. High volume low pressure oil pump makes me think 5-30 oil Somebody educate me. Thanks K

Correction. Idle RPM 550-600. Not 450-550. According to dashboard gauge of course. Raise RPM to 625 much better.

Update. Installed Mercedes oil filter and much better. Don’t understand how same manufacturer same application different box different filter. Still not perfect but I’m not done yet. K
