Trick Sirrus into thinking it is XM!

I seen this thing that will trick BMW Sirrus equiped cars to work with XM.. Anyone seen this for our cars?

Check this out:

Any engineers out there that could get this to work on the W211 would be great!

If you're in Canada, you would not only have to make the Sirius setup think it's XM, you would have to make XM Radio think you're in the U.S. The don't sell to Canada, or to Alaska or Hawaii for that matter.

Maybe somebody on the other side of the border could subscribe for you using their address and you could reimburse them. Don't know whether Sirius is sold in Canada.

It's been a while since I activated my XM Radio subscription (for home, not car) but as I recall they do ask where you live, even though the US$10/month is billed directly to a credit card.

Thanks for the info.. I already have that covered. I have an address in the US.

Funny thing about XMRADIO. The Sats are controlled by a Canadian company, so you can get it everywhere in Canada as they have to be able control the Sats from coast to coast.
