Reduce engine OIL level

hello
it happened to me twice in different trips :Reduce engine OIL level:
and I was running over 130-140 km/h for maybe half an hour
only in these conditions it says oil level too high
and after 5 minutes it disappears
the first time I have removed almost half a liter just to be sure, and happened again
is it the sensor? or something else?
thanks

I have no knowledge of diesel vehicles.......may be something unique. But my gas-based 2003 E500 would sometimes get the warning light that the oil was too full when I was driving at high speed, around 65 - 70 mph. This was after an oil/filter change at the MB Dealer. Problem was the shop tech put 9 quarts oil when the vehicle specs require 8 1/2 quarts. So, they had to remove excess oil. This happened to me twice. So now I always have the service rep place a notice on the service order to only put 8 1/2 quarts into the vehicle........no more problems with warning lights. Apparently many other Mercedes take 9 quarts of oil and the mechanics get lazy assuming my vehicle also uses 9 quarts. This is really sloppy work that we pay big bucks for.

If you want to try, drain the oil, get it on the pit. Close to the sump under the engine, Then you see a device looks like some ignition coil. Remove it and clean off the carbon and sludge.
