Service D is an estimated four hours labor (A=1hr, B=2hr, C=3hr, etc).
The actual services performed in that four-hour window will vary upon mileage and time; one time it might include cleaning and lubing sun roof tracks, another time it may require inspecting the brake pads. Pull up the FSS menu on your dashboard, see which service numbers are scheduled for the next service, then look up those service numbers to see which tasks with which they match.
i.e. Service 1 - check brake pads and discs, Service 3 - replace combination filter in engine compartment (E320), Service 7 - replace spark plugs, etc, etc,
YouTube has several videos on how to bring up FSS on your dash.
Also, put a bit more detail about your car; model year makes a big difference. General location helps too. European or South African or Australian location makes a HUGE difference in the advice you will get.

in chicago a D service is $550-$600, some dealers offer service packages for the same price such as two A and one B for $600. I was told a C service was the same as a A service and D the same as a B service. But be aware what is included in a D service from a certain dealer may NOT be included in another dealer's D service package ... such as a brake flush may be omitted which could cost you extra $275 if you realize after the fact the brake flush was not in included from a certain dealer. Try to get a printout of whats included from each dealer and the price.
