Radiator Fan from another car?

Seems like they changed the fan also, maybe they just remove the shroud and left the fan or what? I've heard from this forum that bmw e60 fan is basically the same.

mine is nothing like the ones I've seen on other w211, I want to now If I just have to buy the shroud or a new unit. Also besides the shroud I need the baffles? Top air ducts are connected, so I suppose thats the top baffles, how about the lower ones? what are they for?
I know its dirty, want to fix a couple of stuff before deep cleaning.

If it ain't broken, why fix it?
You chose not to disclosure your location, but back in California I have seen several W211 on Pick your part JY.
They sell parts very cheap and I ended with lot of spare parts for my SL, that I probably will never use as well as spare seat skin for W211.
But my calculation is like "better spend $100 for 20 parts on junk yard, than $300 at dealer when I need only 1"
I admit I like to just see how the cars are put together and nothing beats JY for this experience.

Well, I’m having transmission issues and the coolant visit works shop came on just for a day or two, there’s a leak seems like the transmission gasket and the o2 downstream sensor seems soaked.. I have a cel and the das shows the o2, as well as other things, I read that the o2 bad readings causes jerk in the transmission shifts, don’t know if it’s true, but I’ll get down there, clean and put a new o2 sensor... as to the fan, while on the das the mechanic did a test on the fan because when the car idles, the fan is at high power sometimes, so the testing failed and he told me to buy a new fan, that it’ll solve the idle and cel issue.

Currently in Dominican Republic, so no junk yards.
