rain/light sensor
I have problem in my car w211 (E350 2007)
the problem is when I replaced the windshield the light and rain sensor stop working there are no message about rain/ light sensor malfunction appear screen but when I put the light switch auto in the daylight and night the headlamps working and the wiper at the first position working every 10 second. I need to know is the adhesive pad is is important because I did not put the adhesive pad
I replaced the light/rain sensor and replaced Its wires too and checked the fuse but Its not working yet
anyone have same problem? any idea what i should doing ?

Have you tried unplugging the sensor, then start the car to see how it reacts, also put your cellphone flashlight on the sensor and see if the lights turns off. If not I think you need a sentry to diagnose or a new sensor.
