Engineering Mode Comand APS Japan Version

Hello,

i just bought a 06 E350 W211 imported from Japan and would like your help in knowing how to access engineering mode. Most version of codes available are for different commands.

what would be the code for this type of Comand?

pictures attached.

Thanks!

Sorry, can not help with your specific question.
Probably not many used Japanese market cars here in the US, but I have noticed they are little more common up in Western Canada. I see often unusual looking Japanese made small 4x4 vans etc. in traffic there.

A friend bought used low mileage very good Japanese market MB sedan there (from local used car importer) and ended up having to replace the nice factory stereo because it would not tune in properly due to different "tuning steps" on both AM & FM.

I think those should be the same between Asia/Europe & NZ

Hopefully someone here can help you!

Cheers!

That seems like a non oem head unit. It has Tv and other stuff that I don’t know if mb out it in Japan. Not sure if the command units have engineering mode. I know that century das have the developer mode though.

thats because in those countries the radio can’t pass beyond 89.9 fm due to regulations.. in my country they bring lots of Chinese, Japan, and Korean cars and each radio is like that. Had to change all speakers maybe because weren’t compatible with the head unit he changed.

Yes those are the steps between channels, besides that Chinese and jap cars won’t go after 89.9 fm

To access the "Maker Diag" (not engineering mode), use the following sequence:

press INFO
press BEEP (2nd top right soft button)
on LHS soft buttons (1-5) press 5, 3, 3
RHS soft buttons 1
LHS 5

I found that mode helpful to correct the offset from the GPS time, so that my onboard clock shows the right time.

Also, regarding engineering mode, have a look here.
