Hello everyone,

I'm new here and also a new owner of a 2008 E350. I'm looking into replacing the Comand Head Unit with an Android Aftermarket Head Unit. I was wondering if anybody has any experience.with them or have one installed in their car? What brand should I go towards and what should I stay away from.

The reason why I'm looking to install one so I can do the following:
- Get rid of using the Bovee 1000 for Bluetooth media. I'm unable to pause music with the device and it interrupts me talking to Google Assistant.
- Get rid of the Benz Bluetooth Puck and use wireless calling directly from the unit.
- DVD Player
- Android Apps: Play Sonic when my lady won't hurry up and get in the car.
- Rear View Camera - I don't need it...but maybe?
- Google Assistant

I'm seeing that Seicane maybe the popular choice. Would love to know some people that have them in their car.

I did. Nothing since maybe 2013 or so.

I would advise checking out your LOCAL soundshop...They are the experts that will give you the best and highest price on what's the best fit for your w211...Also check the interweb too As mentioned before some threads on the w211 site too. GL

I know the factory unit is 10 years old, but I like it and do not want to mess with the fiber optics between it and what is in the trunk!
