The $7 Bluetooth adapter and $5 TorquePro does the job just fine.
I think you could actually save $5 by going with free version of Torque, but I like to to see live data occasionally.
Nothing beats boredom when wife is driving, than observing car sensors from back seat

Mercedes S550
The local Autozone tried to clear it 3 times with OBD-II code reader to no avail. I changed both Nox sensors using OEM parts but they code or Change Engine Light won't clear. Disconnected the battery terminal, drove the car for over 40 minutes, still won't clear.

New sensors might need SCN coding. I just went via the ordeal and as much as I hate it, I had to go to dealer.
