what's bluetooth?
I don't believe a complete factory bluetooth car kit is readily available at your local USA MB dealer yet. My understanding is that it is a European part and requires some messing around.
However, the idea is that after pairing up your cell phone and your car kit through bluetooth, once you are in your car, your cell phone's incoming calls will be automatically transmitted to your in-car speaker phone and the system will even mute your music for you.
The typical disadvantage of such bluetooth system is the lack of a numeric keypad for outgoing calls (many cars do not have a 10 digit numeric keypad unlike your MB); in addition, bluetooth does drain your cell phone's battery rather quickly, and finally, unlike a wired telematics system such as the MB V60, your bluetooth cell phone will not have better reception in your car as it cannot take advantage of a booster antenna.

... supposedly because the Bluetooth standard "consolidated" several competing standards for short range "personal area networks" (PANs).
