This morning I was trying to open the car door by keyless-go; however, my car told me "key not recognized". I swear that I was using the right key. After driving by regular key. I could not lock the doors by pushing the LOCK buttom on the car key when I was parking my car . All I can do was to go home to get the spare key and finally the spare key worked.
What kind of car is this???? It seems another problem for my poor W211.
Any one has the same problem?? How to slove this problem??
B.Rgds.,
Steven

Is the key battery dead (does the red LED light up on the key)?
You may also need to re-sync the key. I remember doing this for my w210, but there should be a re-sync procedure for the w211.
*Crossing my fingers* that our keys work fine. Otherwise, my Keyless works as expected.

The key is fine
The red led is still on and I have just changed the new battery a week ago. I think the key is in good condition but my car doesn't recognize my key......

1- A Flash Software upgrade at the Dealer to address Radion Noise, and /or
2- A problem that begin very early on with the battery not holding a charge and having to constantly be jumpstarted. Battery was replaced after first occurence but the problem remained. Eventually the car was repurchased by MBUSA.
Have any on the above things happened to you?
