Keep E550 or get E63

im kinda torn, really love my 07 E550 great car great power but wanting lately to move up to a w211 E63. When i get itwill have headers, row aibox, filters and tune. Right now my e550 has a tune and high flow filters not alot of power maybe 405 crank hp. Is there a huge difference in power between the 2 cars i know there is on paper but seems like I’ve read some people are disappointed with its power that its not putting up great numbers i know its for sure faster then my car and read a review it pulled 115mph in the 1/4. Thats fast in my book. I love the look of the E63 w211, i know some will say go get a w212 e550 and tune it 2012+ but i dont like the interior and the look im sorry dont mean to offend just hasn’t grown on me at all either. You guys think its worth picking up one around 20k? Or is it super unreliable and will bankrupt me. I cant seem to find warranties either for this car.

Read up on the head bolt issue. They can also have issues with the cams and lifters.

The head bolts aren't really a warranty thing (preemptively anyway) and there's been no recall for them. Chances are unless someone is on the forums they know nothing about the head bolt issue unless they had a failure.

Finding a warranty for this old of a car is not going to be easy. You pretty much need to keep at least several thousand set aside for repairs when owning one.

Front brakes are expensive for these cars too. https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/mer...-w204amg2pfbk1

appreciate the advice, first option was the E55 but as old as it is now even with 6k down hard to get financing. I dont like any newer cars at all so there is my other problem, lol. Since I’ve owned a w211 just fell for the car such an amazing ride. Quality is just up there, i drive a mercedes sprinter van and granted mercedes doesn’t know how to make cheap cars but what they do best they really strive. I’ll either save up more and buy one cash problem with that is as im saving im finding it hard to spend lol, or put more down and get financed on a 05-06 E55.

Saving up and paying cash is a better idea. IMO, if you have to finance a car you can't afford to own it.
