She leaking Soaking wet - Radiator ... Valeo? 2005 E500
I confirmed the radiator is leaking up top near the air vent behind the grill driver side. I ruled out trying to fix it with epoxy or some
kind of stop leak, so where can I source a replacement? I am assuming it would have to be VIN specific or is that not the case?
I have an 05 E500 can someone do a VIN check to see what part I need, is that necessary? Also I was under the assumption that the
Valeo radiators were used in the early 03 model W211's, but after looking at the crimp design on the radiator I have the tooth like style
which according to this forum is indicative of Valeo. Can anyone confirm they were also used in the 05 w211? is it at least hopefully a
revised or improved version?
How likely is it that if I do have Valeo radiator that water/coolant mixed was introduced into the transmission? I have had check coolant message
on seldom occasion the last 2 weeks or so but it would disappear rather quickly and I could never find a leak or be low on coolant until
now. A few months ago my gearbox wouldn't allow me to shift into reverse and ultimately I couldn't shift out of park but that turned out to
be a interlock shift cable problem. I have not experienced any noises, jerking while shifting or limp mode scenarios. I plan to replace radiator
(hopefully someone can point me in the right direction as to which one) and flush the transmission fluid.
Please share any related experiences or advice; thanks
