E55K, 0-100kph in less than 4.3 sec!!!
The SL55K has been tested at 4.3 sec. to 100kph while competing with the BMW Z8, as reported by Jco on the SL forum.
That clearly means that since the E55K is faster than the SL55amg, that the E55K must be faster than 4.3 seconds to 100kph!!............(62.5 mph in less than 4.3 seconds).................... That is astounding performance for any car much less a 4 door "family" sedan. The Hammer is coming back. The ultimate Q car.

Got the part about the SL55's 0-60 time-that's right, but how did you get that the SL55 Kompressor would be slower than the E55 Kompressor. (I'm assuming you're talking about the next-gen)

Check out the SL forum (R230) for the answer. Essentially, the new SL55K's intro is being delayed slightly to "tune" the engine into producing 500hp so that it's acceleration numbers can best the slightly faster (lighter and more aerodynamic) new E55K which uses the same engine.

If you put the same engine in the W211 E55 and the R230 SL55 the E55 would be faster because the SL55 weighs a lot more due to the folding hardtop.
