Price on E?

I want to buy an E class but dont know if I can afford it. I'm thinking that within these couple of months would probably be the best time to buy with the '05s coming out. How much do you guys think that I could get off the MSRP? Thanks alot guy. I love this forum!!!!

Just don't think too long as the longer you wait, the slimmer the pickings will be to get what you want. Remember, there will be a lot of other people thinking the same thing!!! Also, I would assume that you will be buying the 320, right?

Where are you located

Thats right marcusbenz. I will be getting the E320. What dealership do you work for? I live in Southern Cali. I'm planning to start looking in the next couple of weeks and hopefully make my decision within the next two to three months.

By that time the pickins for '04 model year will be much more limited. Around here, that length of time wouldn't be considered an "iminent purchase". Many of the cars on the lots at that time haven't been built yet.

I am slightly confused over the continual referal to the '05' model. It gives the impression that the 211 is receiving some sort of upgrade\facelift??? Or is this simply refering to vehicles manufactured in a certain year?

The only information that seems to be available is the fact that Mercedes-Benz is actually removing some of the fittings that were on earlier build 211's???

If this is correct and there are no improvements on the '05' build vehicle, then surely the 04 model should be a more desireable vehicle???

Sorry for all the questions, but I am slightly confused and need to get a better understanding of this issue.

Good luck with your decision,
John

A lot of us think that the 2005's will have the new CGI rail injected V6 engines which produce a lot more power than the current V6. However, no one knows for sure when they'll be available.

If you keep a car for a long time, I'd get a 2004 because resale value isn't an issue.

If you trade frequently or lease, you should wait

no E350 until model year 2006 from everything I have read. and considering the penny pinching to remove things like entrance lamps for 2005, I suspect a significant price increase on the 2006 E350 for the same equipment.
