Showing Off My New Ride!
Hello Everyone,
I just picked this beautiful girl up on Thursday! She's a 2009 Mercedes E350 with the AMG Sport Package. I've wanted a post facelift W211 since I was in Highschool and now I finally have one. The car looks as if it's just rolled off the showroom floor and it drives like it too. I had a W140 years ago and then I went on to an E38 740, a Jaguar XJ, a Crown Vic (work beater) and a B7 Passat most recently (RIP). None had the level of build quality the Merc had and I'm glad I'm in another. Definitely, the most exciting car purchase I have made to date. Today I changed the oil, replaced the air filters with K&Ns and changed the spark plugs. What an incredibly simple and straightforward car to wrench on. I also purchased a 5-year 100,000-mile warranty so I hope to own her for many trouble free miles.
The first thing that needs doing other than replacing all of the fluids and the breaks is to replace the stupid Comand system. It's really my only gripe with the car. I plan on upgrading to an android 7.1 head unit in the future. In the meantime, I will make due with a Bluetooth dongle in the Aux port.
Future Mods will include:
1. Vinyl Wrapping the roof in piano black for that Pano roof look
2. HID or LED light upgrade as mine only has the basic halogens.
3. Backup Cam with Headunit install.
4.Small trunk lip.
Other than that, I like to keep everything nice and OEM looking. I'm sure there will be other mods to come later once I think of them.
I look forward to contributing to the forum!

Yeah, I think this specific car is as bargain basic as you can get with an 09. No Sat-Nav, no heated seats, no HID lights. It's a good thing I live in Orange County, my bum will never get too cold lol. There was another one that I looked at with the P2 package, but it had 40,000 more miles and it just looked like it was driven hard.
I'm only the second owner. The previous owner must have been an elderly women because the only phone that was previously paired was called "Viola's I Phone". My detail guy also came with me and did a thorough walkaround and agrees it was definitely garaged too.

Congrats on the purchase! A 08' E-350 was my first Mercedes and I loved it. I also had 2 Passat B7's that I loved too. People would ask me how the Mercedes compared to my BMW and my VW's I would tell them that the BMW is a completely different car and there was no comparison. However, the E-class felt like a bigger more powerful version of my VW's. That was no me insulting Mercedes but rather me complimenting Volkswagen as they worked hard to get the Passat as close to Mercedes like as possible. Both cars had amazing rides. My E class was pretty reliable too. My only complaint was on long trips my legs would get numb. The seats could have been better padded. This W211 is one of the nicest designs Mercedes-Benz ever made and it still holds up today. If you want heated seats badly enough you can add them aftermarket with a stock switch. Good luck and enjoy!

Yeah, I love them! That was my primary draw to the 09 as the AMG Sport package was no charge, so most models had it. The ride is surprisingly supple with the wheel/tire combo.
