2007 E350 Intermittent starting Problem
About 3 weeks ago started having a problem. Everything was fine, drove to store came out car would start but immediately die. Left car overnight, came back started right up and was fine for about another 20-25 starts then problem happened again, this time I got it started about an hour after the issue. Took it to mechanic he had it for a few days and could never reproduce the problem. Picked the car up from him, was fine for another 20-25 starts then yesterday wouldnt start in garage and have not been able to get it started yet. Turns over just will not start. Seemed like it was going to but immediately died. Any thoughts? Thanks

Had crank position sensor replaced, drove home, went inside for 15 -20 minutes, came back out same problem. Euro Motor who did the work said they weren't sure what was going on, said it had a crank position msg in memory and they thought thyt would take care of the problem. It didn't. Now I am tempted to have em put on a fuel pump, but it's expensive to throw parts at it until you get it fixed. Do you think I should have em go ahead and put a fuel pump on? Service guy told me fuel pump won't give any error message. And if the car isn't acting up when they have it all they can do is guess. Would appreciate your thoughts. Thanks !

Too bad you don't have a fuel leak, W211's have an extended warranty on the fuel tank for 15 years unlimited miles. If there's a leak, most find it when they smell gas after filling the tank. When they replace the tank, they also replace the fuel pump.
I believe you can check the fuel pump pressure.
