Mercedes Benz E350 4 Matic
Best Quality Tire but quiet

I have a Mercedes Benz E350 4matic with size tire currently, 245/40 R18 97 V Pure Contact Continental. Which tire is longer lasting and quieter?

All season tires will last the longest when compared to high performance/summer tires. Your best bet for long last quiet tires would be Michelin A/S or Continental extreme contact DWS tires.

Those are the two that I buy. Tire rack used to have noise ratings in their specs. DWS are a little quieter, A/S grip much better in dry conditions.

I'm on the second set of Continental Extreme Contact DWS on both of my E55s. For the first sets, I obtained 40,000 miles on the W210 and 36,000 miles on the W211. Quiet, handle well in the rain or dry, decent traction.

R888’s a potentially the loudest tires I’ve ever ridden on.

Michillin is by far and away the quietest tire you can get. Don’t go continental. They’re good compared to other brands but Michillin is the best.
