W211 rear subframe bushings inspection
Changed the bushings, they where bad, half cracked, but still holding.
Alsjo changed the trunnion joint from the rear control arms.
Had a little play in them. The difference were subtle, i ve should have let them as they are.
IMO, if the subframe does not move much, let it be.
I tried maximum camber on the front wheels for track use (just having a bit of fun) and the car started pulling right pretty hard when the road was tilted to the right.
When back to normal camber and now everything is fine.
High camber (actually low, as it is negative) might cause a bit of bumpsteer, but i think it is actually the tire which is sitting with different spots on the road.
Also high toe values might cause the car to be jumpy, but with 10-15' of toe evetything is very smooth.
Lowering the back so you can just stick your finger between the wheel and the fender causes -2 20' degrees of camber with is too much.
