Air Suspension Issue

I’m having a bit of an issue with my buddies 2004 E500. He would wake up in the morning to his car slammed when the raised setting is OFF. He decided to leave the car in raised mode overnight and noticed that the car did not drop an inch. What can cause this type of behavior? I’m in SoCal so it’s not too cold at night. The air suspension would drop in raised mode or not if there was a leak right? Has anyone ran into an issue like this?

Hows his battery? Mine dropped like a stone when the battery had given up on life. Was fine when a new battery was fitted.... Odd i know.

The battery was literally replaced less than a month ago. This was happening even before replacing the battery.

Yes, if he turns off raised mode before shutting off the engine. The car is guaranteed to drop. If he leaves it on before shutting off the engine, it’ll stay up. I believe it’s some sort of calibration issue.
