Telephone dialing volume -- save my marriage
Does anyone know how to lower the volume of the touchtones when one is dialing the phone using the dashboard keypad (the COMAND keypad)?
My wife, who had previously complained about the volume level, now views my inability to lower it as a sign my love is fading ("When we were dating you would have lowered the touchtone volume for me").
I have a 2003 E500 with navigation (one of the COMAND replacement vehicles).

I don't know about lowering the volume, but you can switch off the touchtone confirmation tones in the settings menu.

Just turn down the volume using the big round knob (at the COMAND unit) when you're dialing, that's all.
