0-60 MPH (more or less) in a rompin' stompin' 10 seconds. Wow. Is the E240 a four-cylinder? Sure sounds like one. Think of the high kilometrage s/he must be getting, though.

www.mercedes.co.uk quotes 0-62.5 of 8.9 seconds for the E240 and 9.9 seconds for the E200 automatic, which is a four-cylinder mit Kompressor. The driver in the video must have backed off the gas a bit - probably not a bad idea if you're steering with one hand and holding a vidcam with the other.

Good video.
I have just one concern on the video.
Did you notice that when the RPM reaches about 2800, the rpm seems to slow down on the initial upward trend.
Then when reaching 3000 RPM, the needle then picks up again the initial momentum.
I have an 2004 E-240 (automatic), and I am most happy with it, but you can actually sense that momentary lack of initial push when reaching 2800 RPM.
Nothing serious, but just wondering if there is a reason for it, and if it will disappear with time.

I dont think its unusual for a cars RPM to lag a bit when taking off from a standstill and full throttle, as most cars do this. I guess its the engine catching up with the cars momentum??
