Variable Length Intake Manifold. Different code after replacing.
After i completed the replacment installation. The car still had the rough idle and low power. I rescanned the car to find out that i no longer have a p2006 code. But now i have a p2015 code! I have tried inspecting the pneumatic tubing without removing the intake manifold. I also noticed that the secondary air pump does not turn on.
I checked the fuses and relays for the secondary air pump. And i also checked for continuity using a resistance multimeter from the relay box to the plug and ground to the plug. I did not confirm a short.... I also connected the secondary air pump directly to my battery and it works.
My poor car has been sitting for 2-3 months in the sun. Any ideas? Should i remove the brand new intake manifold and re-do the install. Or should i take it in to the dealership. I really am passionate about doing things hands on and learning thru the process. I ask all of you Mercedes enthusiast and experts for guidance and advice. I appreciate the time, hope you all have a great day.
My vehicle is a 2008 E-350 with 128,000 miles.
Thanks,
Anthony G.
