2005 E-Class Telephone Compartment & Bluetooth Question?
Hi. I just bought a 2005 E-Class Mercedes. The console has the two cup holders and it has what it looks like to be a 3.5mm plugin. According to the manual, it states "Telephone compartment*." What does that port do and how can I use it? Is there a Bluetooth adapter I can get for this so I can pair my phone to the Command system?

It doesn't look like there was one. Your '06 is pre-wired for BT. So, you'll need the brain which installs in trunk; puck and adapter go in center console. There's a gentleman in S. Calif who sells on fleabay and has those kits and is very helpful. Keith Valentine: 714-746-5930. He's the go to guy. He did mine some 3 years ago, and works perfectly. By the way, he does dealers installations with 30 years experience. Below is an '05-'06 kit he's selling on fleabay.
