E500 blower motor stopped working!!!
Yesterday was around 98 degrees in my area. So we decided to drive the benz. 03 e500. Rwd. 227k og miles. Runs drives amazing. But not sure if cool system has ever been serviced.( just a little run down). Yesterday we started it up as usual to warm up, and get the ac cranking as usual. Did perfect. Got the whole car cold but since ive had it never really put out a whole lot of pressure/air. After a hour of driving we stopped and turned it off for 30mins. Went to go turn it back on and it get it cool. Only this time. Nothing came out.. I turned the car off and back on. Nothing. Turned ac off and on nothing. You could feel the vents getting hot and cold as if the air was there just nothing to push it out. Once we start driving, Ice cold air again. Go to drive it today. Now its literally doing nothing. Full blast ac. Nothing. Full blast heat. Nothing. As before you can feel the vents getting hot and cold. And everytime you turn the a.c. on the fan kicks on. As normal. Even when you turn it up and down you can feel a slight change in temp, so im thinking heater cores good, ac compressors good, switch/climate control buttons are good. I know blower motors can go bad instantly but usually give some type of warning. Ive heard of the final stage ( resistor) and ive heard its a major culpurate for nearly the same issues from what ive read on google. But never found a good instructional way of checking if its bad or where to turn next. I have 2 kids and a wife. A 03 accord i just did trans swap in so its got no ac and now no ac in the benz. Which is a shame. First luxury car of many with a heating/cooling issue. Any help is appreciated! Tryed to give as much info as possible. If anymore is needed let me know. Thanks in advance!
