While I am adding threads as if they are going out of style, let me add one more.
I have been told that, although not yet official and in concrete, that active ventilated seats will be dropped as an option. Heating package will replace it in the premium package.
4-place climate control has already been dropped. So option elimination is not new here.
Now I was told this in the context of the CDI. However the '05 ordering guides I saw have the same options for all E-class models (E500/E55 may still have it standard).

Hmmmm. Interesting. My dealer called and said that MBUSA must have made a mistake when they keyed my order because the ventilated and dynamic seats were not included on the build sheet. He's going to get back to me.

Welcome to the wonderful world of MBUSA's option selection. 
Did you know that the 2005 SLK350 will not have powered seats as standard?
You have to pay for an option to get that on a 45k+ car!
