malfunction

heloo, i have a malfunction eror on my E 220, W211: TRAILER TOW HITCH CHECK LOCK MECH

the towing hook release lever flashes a red led and is a plug with four pin holes removed. someone knows where that plug goes. thank you

I know there's a fuse related to towing, maybe unplug the fuse if you don't use it.

The electrical plug in the body of the hitch, if this is what you’re referring to, is shown in attachment.

The lever is in my trunk floor and after pulling on it, the hook is released and then I lock it in position with my hand. The red LED flashes constantly. In the hook release lever, two sockets come in, only one is in position and the other is removed, the idea is that I do not know where it should probably be placed somewhere below ,but I can not see any place for it. Tomorow i will make some pictures to that socket which is unplugged.Thanks everyone

Hi Boris, have you ever solved this issue? I am facing a similar issue I think. The lever does not function anymore, so the towing hitch doesn't unlock. There seems to be no more tension on the lever. Maybe you can share your experience. Thank you
