Custom exhaust setup for the E500

So I'm planning to do my own exhaust for this car. Below are links to the parts I want to use. I do not want to eliminate the rear mufflers and I would like to keep them hidden(not cutting my bumper for tips). I'm aware of the J pipe configuration but I don't think my car will pass NYC inspection with a setup like that. Let me know what you guys think.

Custom exhaust on my w211

I did a custom exhaust also, mid-cat and muffler delete, 2.5 inch piping all the way with 2 J-pipes, one for each side. Replaced mid-cat with x-pipe and just did quad tips with bumper cut-outs to give it a AMG look. I also pass NYC inspections with NO problems.

AMG E55 mufflers with X-pipe and resonator delete, Eurocharged mid-length headers and ECU tune.

Thanks for the responses guys. I will see if I can find a shop in my area that can do the welding for me. I still don't really want crazy loud with no mufflers so I may still go that route. Also, I think it would be fun to have the tips still hidden for the sleeper look.

hey bro, what ever makes you happy man. The route I went with was cheaper than others bc i didnt have to purchase the mufflers. Those cost an arm and a leg even the used ones.

If it isn't obnoxiously loud I'll try it first but I cant take the loudness I can always go the muffler route. I've just never heard it in person.

Is there some kind of template or guide to use to cut the bumper?

Sorry I don't have a sound clip but my car is loud especially when I really gas it. Its loud but sounds good so I'm happy. I've only gotten compliments from other car enthusiasts.

I got my used AMG E55 mufflers in very good shape for $400 off eBay.
Seller was local to me and I went and picked them up.
Couldn't be happier with my exhaust setup - quiet at idle and cruising but nice, throaty rumble when you get on it.
As far as the tips go I like them exposed - it's a V8.
