Airmatic female thread Stripped

Hey guys,
The thread in the black plastic top of the strut is stripped (inside where the brass screw goes in to the strut with the airline through it).

Is there a way to just seal it up? Maybe using epoxy or something? Can the black top piece be replaced?

This is for a 2003 E500 - any advice is greatly appreciated!

Thanks
Mike

Let us know if you found a fix. My understanding is that the brass Voss fitting is designed to be finger tightened + 1/4 turn only. Ergo easily stripped.

Yeah, I got the car with the strut already being stripped unfortunately; I guess whoever owned it before overtightened it. I fixed it temporarily just to get around (since I can't drive the car around with the front being dropped) by wrapping a metal wire to press the brass fitting into the top plastic on top of the strut. I can send a pic later if you'd like. I'll probably end up using epoxy since I know this setup won't last for too long.
