Hi

I just replaced the sending unit/fuel filter on the left/driver side. In removing the harness connector on the pump (right passenger side), It was not clear to me if that unit needs to be snug up against the top of the tank or does it rest on the bottom of the tank?

In other words, there are two fork like rods with springs that just go into two holes, and there doesn't seem to be a catch for them. What is the procedure to install it? I did preserve the orientation, just not sure if the pump somehow attached to the rods and I missed it.

fyi, the car runs fine.
