Heated sterring wheel - again.

Hi - for all those having problem with the heated steering wheel option (wood and leather), there is a bulletin requiring a replacement of the control module for the heater. Apparently many people have complained about this. Mine simply does not et hot. There is not outside or inside temperature regulator that determines if it comes on. Its either on or off - in any weather. Problem is, mine is always off, even when its n. ordered the module an it will be here next week.

Does the wood and leather steering wheel include heating???

No.... Heated wheel and wood wheel are two seprate options, but may be combined....

The dealer put a new control module in mine a few months ago but it still does not work properly. When it is cold, it will turn off after a second or two. At warmer temperatuers (when it is not needed), it works perfectly. Waiting until it gets cold again so that it can be fixed.

At one point last year the dealers were saying you could not get both wood and heated in the same steering wheel. I'm aware that is no longer true as I have seen at least one E on the lot with both combined. My question is - is it now possible to replace a standard leather E steering wheel with this new combined wood/heated wheel? If so, is this also true of the dark wood wheels that go with the appearance package? And if this is true is it available for all interiior colors of leather?

Or restated, is there a heated, wood/leather wheel for a Pacific Blue Appearenc Package?

My car, a late 2003 E320, has both wood and heating in the steering wheel. Or it is supposed to heat anyway. I guess it does when warm, just not when you need it.
