Does anyone else have a slight rattling or buzzing sound from the upper portion of the front cup holder if it is empty? This occurs on bumpy roads and is the only annoying sound while my 2004 E320 is being tossed about on the barely improved roads here in the wine country of California. I generally drive with a water bottle in the lower cup well but the upper holder is empty and rattles. It's also so high that if a coffee cup or water bottle is there my wife bumps it every time she plays with the COMAND system. Does anyone have a solution? I'd hate to put an empty coffee cup in the upper holder just to silence it.

Yep, I have it too. I'd imagine it would be quite easy to fix-- just put a small piece of rubber or even a piece of paper where it pivots and/or where the two pieces contact. I've been too lazy to do it though :p

Yeah I just close it
