So I am driving down the road and as I push on the gas the car starts dying out. Pull to the side of the road and turn the key. It tries to start for about 5 seconds and stops.
Any idea what the problem could be?

i would start with the crankshaft position sensor (ckp)

So I ran a scan and the code came up P0336 which is the crankshaft position sensor. I changed it out and still would not start.
I sprayed starter fluid in the engine intake and it started up then quickly died again.

where and what brand of ckp did you get?

Did you check the mass air flow sensor?
