Rim opinion needed
Hi guys I need a bit of help. Which rims would you recommend to slap on my silver sports package car? I dont want to 'overkill' and overspend like I did with my c class so I will DEFINITELY NOT BUY A BODY KIT TOO:p So I just want rims that will look 'perfect'. I was thinking classy meets 'bling bling' maybe Lowenharts? I am not sure...also do you guys think 20's is overkill?? No Brabus or Lorinser suggestions please as they will make me want to complete it with a kit

even though u say that, I had the 19" mono VI's two piece wheels on my e320 and it looked awomse w/o body kit and w/o lowering, like you said, a bit flashy but still extremely classy and not overdone @ all, I got compliments from young and old people on a regular basis (people who didn't know better assumed it was an e55, lol); just my .02
other than that, try going w/some other factory mercedes or amg wheels, I think they will have the same effect you are looking for and you won't need a body kit; don't know much about lowenharts, most of their styles are a little too flashy for me;
Also check out some HRE's if your budget allows, those also fit the bill - really pimp, but not overdone or too much, but you obviously already know that
IMO 20s would be overkill, 19s are perfect...GL

Why dont you check out this site for Angstrom Wheels - new company making 2 pc forged wheels for a very fair price. Website under construction, but there are pics. All wheels are made to order, and use all of the same finishing and processes that HRE and others use.
I have a set ordered, 19x8 and 19x10. You have a choice of many finishes, brushed, polished, anodized silver, charloal, etc..
PM me if you want specific contact info. I'm looking for a link for the first set made for an A4 avant.. will post soon.

I have to agree with moa4r– I think the Brabus Mono VI's are some of the best looking rims one could get. Personally, I would go with the one-piece, because I don't really like the way multi-piece rims look– something about the bolts/screws turns me off, and multis tend to look smaller than they really are in my eyes (I know, I'm in the tiny minority here, but hey, it's my opinion). Of course, if you want dubs, you're going to be able to do half-way, with 19's up front and 20's in the rear.
Angstrom seems like an interesting option, though I've never heard of them before. Hopefully brav'll be able to provide a favorable report when he gets his set. Their 9 Split Modular looks quite cool.
There's also the route LorinserE500 went, which, while too flashy for me, might be to your liking.
Lastly, don't overlook HRE. They have a good following here, and everything I've heard and seen indicates that they make solid product. I especially like their 847R's.
Still, if I had to pick any one set, I'd take the Mono VI's in a heart beat.

I just scrolled down to here so if i missed something. woops. Anyway, i think 20's are perfect and also i see you like lowenharts. I have lowenharts in 20 and i dont think i could have found a better rim for me. no regrets. Look at the BS5. They are a great rim on the car. chrome with a dish! The only thing is lowenharts are not cheap and i know you dont want to break the bank with these wheels. Just my two cents.

BBS's not sure if this is your style, but this is one of the cleanest looking e-classes I've seen in a while, and it has no body kit - these rims are hot, but the car looks lowered.

As close as I was to buying mono VI's, I decided to go with something unconventional (uncommon), simple and clean. Angstrom split spoke are a nice choice too.

The standard offset of SL is 35 front and 40 back. I assume you mean using the offset of 19" rim's offset of 31 front and 30 back?

most E500 customers buy the 19inch wheels and the E430 customers buy the 19inch fitments. I recommend either Maya/Maido or Brabus or lowenhart wheels.!!

Have you got your Angstroms yet? I was looking at the 9 split modulars or some HRE's 847. Big price difference, but I can't decide yet. I would like to see the Angstroms on someone's E-class before I decide.
Post some Pics when you get them on.
Thanks!
