Exclamation 07 E350 left & right engine mounts the same?????

Need to replace engine mounts and after research settled on Lemfoerder parts and they show for my 07 E350 base two different part numbers: 211-240-26-17 for the left and 211-240-27-17 for the right. I ordered them and received two parts both matching part number for left side engine mount. I contacted the vendor and tried to get them to ship me a right side mount and allow my return of the second left mount. They have now concluded that there is no difference between the left and right mount? Can I accept that or do I need to hold firm and request the right mount part that they are advertising. Help anyone?

Vehicle is E350 Base, not 4-matic

Racster, I don't know the full answer to your questions, however, I want to give you some insight on what I am dealing with right now pertaining to the engine mounts. I have two different engine mounts put on by my mechanic and I am experiencing idle vibration that was not there before. Based on the information that I've researched it sounds like the engine mounts and I believe a transmission mount is the cause of this problem.

I am dealing with constant back and forth and hoping my mechanic can solve this issue.

Also apparently there is a difference between idle vibration and rough idle. Where idle vibrations is when your vehicle is stopped however engaged in drive and the rpms go below a threshhold causing a vibration.

Dungey, thank you for that helpful information. I understand the concern and I've just talked to my mechanic who also believes the right and left mount are not the same - and I'm hearing you on your experience. To resolve this situation, I'm planning to return both Lemfoerder mounts to the recalcitrant vendor and get two Corteco mounts (L & R), as Corteco, like Lemfoerder, is also an OEM suoplier for Mercedes on these mounts. I appreciate your response!

Engine mounts the same.

From what I can gather the engine mounts are the same, however the right comes with the heat shield that protects it from the exhaust pipe.
